Mastery is not about skill. Rather it is about Way of Being and a key aspect to this is who the coach is being in the present moment, and how they are as learners with their clients. Key is they are in flow and have the capacity to be fully present to whatever is arising and using that in the coaching where useful.
Mastery is about being able to be very adaptive and explore in the moment whatever is arising without feeling pressurised and having to get somewhere. There's a mood of deep acceptance and curiosity and the ability to be a learner with your client.
It's about letting go of being the expert in any form, and this requires some unlearning and re-learning about yourself, the beliefs you have about what it means to be a coach, and a willingness to invoke the spirit of being a beginner.
As a PCC coach you already have excellent ability and bring so much. And to become masterful, there's more to be learned on this journey.

Testimonials
I have worked with Karen White for many years and recently completed her “Mastery & Artistry in Coaching Program” as part of my ICF MCC credentialing. I’d like to share an unsolicited reference of my experience of Karen. Karen is deeply committed to the ongoing professionalism of coaching and expanding her own mastery as a highly skilled – yet humbly so – coach, mentor coach and leader of Ontological coaching programs. Karen shows absolute mastery through her curious, non-judgemental, compassionate yet challenging and learningful way. She connects people to their deepest resourcefulness and personal truth and offers a playful space for courageous new action and new ways of being. It is always a pleasure to be in her company and I leave feeling enriched each time I am.

"I so appreciated the opportunity to deepen my coaching skills in the presence of a wise and empowered community of peers, convened and masterfully facilitated by Karen.
Having procrastinated for at least 10 years in taking the step to submit my MCC application the programme was just what I needed to gently nudge me into recording practice sessions to get the ball rolling. Karen's considered and astute feedback unlocked a much deeper level of appreciation and understanding in me about what coaching mastery truly is.Karen truly embodies the 'being' of a master coach and her example along with her wisdom and humour made this such an enriching journey. "- Stephanie Martinis, coaching since 2004, PCC since 2007
"I highly recommend this mastery course which goes far beyond the MCC markers, it is not only about ticking the box to get the MCC accreditation, it is about letting emerging a way of Being which enables the coachee to experience a transformative coaching session at MCC level.
Karen created the space for deeper reflections, rich new learnings and benevolent experimentations. With her high sensitivity, broad experiences and immense empowerment, she allowed me and each one in our group to show up boldly and authentically.
I gained a deeper understanding of what it really means to coach at MCC level and the difference it makes for my clients become visible very quickly. The 7 group sessions which were stretched over an extended time period (months) giving me space and time to absorb the rich material, increase my own self-awareness on my blind spots, own limitations and potentials, and practice the learnings in my coaching. The 1-1 mentoring sessions gave me different perspectives on my skills, and allowed me to grow more authentically in the mastery process. I can now master more fluently how to partner at MCC level with my clients to enable transformational coaching.
Thank you Karen for your dedication to high quality and impactful coaching.”Fabienne Cuisinier

Initially, achieving MCC certification looks seductively simple. In practice, meeting the requirements of the MCC performance evaluation requires a deep inquiry into your own way of being in the way you coach. Many hours of oversight and scrutiny are required from an expert mentor coach to usher you to a point where you can confidently pursue the MCC performance evaluation. It is a deep learning process.
Karens' unique set of competencies and her nuanced approach will significantly amplify your learning in this demanding undertaking.
